President of Diyanet Erbaş leads Morning Prayer at Hacı Bayram Mosque…

President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, led the Morning Prayer at Hacı Bayram Mosque.

After the prayer President of Diyanet Erbaş addressed the congregation that was dominated by young people “May Allah accept your prayers. May your Friday be blessed. I congratulate your new year of Hegira. May Almighty Allah help our hearts migrate from evil to goodness, from sins to good deeds.

Erbaş prayed that as of the new year of Higra has arrived that he wishes that Almighty Allah spares us from “all kinds of evil, from those who seek discord, from those who seek sedition, and those who seek jealousy” and added “may our generation, our young people and our children spend the rest of their lives with salaat and other prayers as a part of your life, a life full of faith.”

After prayers following salaat President of Diyanet Erbaş touched upon the concept of righteousness of the Prophets and the concept of righteousness preached by the Quran to mankind “one of the qualities of Prophets correctness and righteousness. Correctness, intellectual abilities, consignation, virtue and notification are the qualities of Prophets. Prophets fulfill their missions with these qualifications. Correctness and righteousness are qualities that all human beings need. You cannot be a Muslim without loyalty, honesty and righteousness.”

President of Diyanet Erbaş pointed out that correctness and righteousness sets a good example for children and that such qualities allow people to lead a decent life when they form these qualities at an early age when their characters are formed and added “we have to put much emphasis on correctness and righteousness so that our children see these qualities in us and grow up by living through these qualities. They will see honest fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, grandparents. They will grow up to be people with good characters. Seventy percent of the personality of children are shaped by the age of seven. We have to be what the Almighty wants us to be before our children.”

Referring to a Hadith by the beloved Prophet President of Diyanet Erbaş said “Never part from correctness as correctness leads you to goodness, evil leads you to hell. When a person is correct this goes down to their righteousness in the eyes of the Almighty. Then correctness and honesty sets in on their spirit. Keep away from lies and deceit. Lies lead you to evil and evil to hell. Almighty Allah adds lies to lies when a person is full of lies and deceit.”

After the address by President of Diyanet Erbaş the Mufti of Ankara Mehmet Sönmezoğlu delivered a prayer. After the prayers President of Diyanet Erbaş saluted the citizens and visited the tomb of Hacı Baram-I Veli. Erbaş chatted with citizens and had his photos taken with children.
