President of Diyanet Erbaş receives Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Ankara El Khereiji…
President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş has received Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Ankara Walid Bin Abdul Karim El Khereiji.
Receiving the Saudi Arabia Ambassador during the courtesy visit on the occasion of starting his new post, President of Diyanet Erbaş expressed his appreciation due to the visit and said, “Welcome to Diyanet, we are happy to play host to you.”
President of Diyanet Erbaş pointed to the strong ties between the two countries adding that, “we must develop these ties even further. There are historical ties between Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The relationship between these two countries has been going on since ancient history. Religious ties, civilization ties and cultural ties are important elements that bring these two countries closer. In addition to political and economic relations, the relationship between two countries based on religion should be reinforced.”
President of Diyanet Erbaş thanked the Saudi Arabian Embassy for their services during the hajj and umrah organizations adding that this year’s hajj organization was a great success and the Turkish haji candidates paid their duties in the holy land without a hitch and safely returned home.
Meanwhile, visiting Ambassador El Khereiji thanked President of Diyanet Erbaş for accepting him and wished him success in his new post.
