The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş signed the Hajj Protocols for 2020 with Saudi Arabia Minister of Hajj and Umrah Muhammed Salih bin Tahir Benten. The determined hajj quota for Turkey in the Protocols was risen by 3 thousand 430 people to 83 thousand 430 in total.
The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş and the accompanied delegation went to Mecca to have contacts regarding the Hajj Organization for 2020.
Meeting with Saudi Arabia Minister of Hajj and Umrah Muhammed Salih bin Tahir Benten, the President of Religious Affairs had evaluations about the services provided for Turkish pilgrims who came to Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj and umrah worship in 2019.
Furthermore, during the meetings, the services to be provided in several subjects such as improving the procedures regarding transportation, healthcare, accommodation and passports of the pilgrims with the purpose of peace and security being established for the Hajj Organization for 2020.
In the meetings, the President of Religious Affairs Erbaş thanked to Tahir Benten because the hajj organization for 2019 was performed successfully. Minister Benten expressed that the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey improved the service standards every year, performed successful organizations and provided services to be an example to the other Islamic countries with this character and thanked to the President Erbaş.
Following the evaluation and meetings, the Hajj Protocols for 2020 was signed by the President of Religious Affairs Erbaş and Saudi Arabia Minister of Hajj and Umrah Muhammed Salih bin Tahir Benten.

The meetings were attended by Vice President of Religious Affairs Osman Tıraşcı and General Director of Services for Hajj and Umrah Remzi Bircan.
