The President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş gave a speech on the 15th World Islamic Forum.

During his speech on the Forum which was organized in the capital city of Germany, Berlin, the President of Religious Affairs Erbaş emphasized that FETO and PKK are a great danger to the Islamic community and world peace and harshly criticized the fact that some countries have a deaf ear on subjects regarding FETO and PKK and they have stances and remarks guarding these terrorist organizations.

Expressing that the deep and complicated relations and global contacts behind this terrorist organization called FETO who martyred 251 innocent people at just one night were disclosed by the treacherous attempt of coup at the date of 15 July 2016 in Turkey, the President Erbaş said as “This religion-abusing terrorist organization which manipulates and destroys all humanitarian and consciousness values is a global threat and trouble to all Muslims and communities in the world. However, unfortunately, members of this treacherous organization which attempted to destroy the existence of our nation and martyred hundreds of citizens, and attempted to bomb the country they lived in with heavy armed machinery and fighter jets have been hiding themselves in some countries, and our sensitivity about this matter are not treated as it deserves.”

Emphasizing that this situation is the same for the terrorist organization called PKK which slaughtered ten thousands of innocent people and martyred over 30 thousand soldiers, the President Erbaş talked as, “The members of this treacherous terrorist organization which cruelly slaughtered civilian, women, children and even infants are also continuing their lives in some countries. As a matter of fact, it is one of the clearest facts that history showed us that those who betray their own nation, their own country, cannot be beneficial to the other communities as well.”

The President Erbaş recorded that dirty self-interest relations are laid behind the terrorist organizations of today such as DEASH, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab which slaughter Muslims by abusing the religion, sectarian, characteristics and ethnical structure in especially the Islamic geography.

“This sorrowful experience should not repeat wherever in the world”

Reminding that the continent of Europe had many sorrowful experiences because of religious and sectarian conflicts in the past, the President Erbaş continued as follows:

“The Hundred Years Wars and Thirty Years Wars, especially the Thirty Years Wars devoured Europe. In this regard, especially Europe should be sensitive, conscious and preventive against the case of conflicts initiated because of religious and sectarian differences in the other regions of the world. Because these lands had many sorrowful experiences during the wars initiated because of religion, sectarian and ethnical structure. During only the Thirty Years War, 7 million people lost their lives. 60 million people died during the Second World War. This sorrowful experience should not repeat wherever in the world.”

“The factual reasons and solutions of the issues of the age must be negotiated”

The President Erbaş mentioned that some special plans are made to make people apart from Islam and there are those who support Islamophobia by establishing terrorist organizations and stated that people need to be more critical and sensitive to these organizations.

Inclining that religious leaders must accomplish some comprehensive studies to establish a sense of justice and mercy to be able to embrace all humanity, prevent people from abusing the faiths and especially hinder the works to establish terrorist organizations and anarchy over the religion, the President Erbaş used expressions as, “In this respect, first, the factual reasons and solutions of the issues of the age must be negotiated at the ground of humanitarian values without prejudice and sincerely, and reasonable and implementable solutions must be offered.”

Expressing that the world today is facing to some massive problems such as wars, poverty, terrorist acts and desperation, the President Erbaş said as “Non-governmental organizations, religious leaders and members of the religion have great responsibilities at the point of solving the problems to which all humanity is exposed, and social, cultural, moral and even political crisis.”

“The positivist understanding could not explain the existential problems of the humanity”

Underlining that we need to comprehend the reasons of the problem in the right way and analyze it well to be able to present a solution to that problem, the President Erbaş continued his words as follows:

“In this context, especially the events we lived in the world in the last two centuries must be analyzed well. As a matter of fact, the humanity made some radical choices regarding information philosophy since the 18th century and rejected the dimension of the created and love apparently and deferred the metaphysics. However, this positivist understanding that emerged at those times could not explain the existential problems of the humanity, and could not ground the common humanitarian values integrating with ethics, aesthetics and law, and finally imprisoned the earth to the individual and global depressions.”

“A stance that considers being powerful as reason to claim rights on something became primary”

Stating that considering the power as a reason to claim rights on something has been leading to various negativities, the President Erbaş used expressions as “A stance that considers being powerful as reason to claim rights on something became primary even though remarks of lawfulness and justice have been mentioned at every opportunity, and a policy regarding weak geographies being invaded and turned into a field of power struggle by the centers of power became dominant. This situation decreases the hopes of people about the goodness and future before us all.”

The President Erbaş emphasized that violent acts against minorities over racism and ethnicity have increased and this restricts the liberties and movement of the minorities day by day, limits their rights, and reduced the social and cultural institutions to be non-functional.

Underlining the importance of protecting the places of worship, the President Erbaş used expressions as, “It is a principle of the Islamic civilization that even during wars, the places of worship, religious officials and innocent people are untouchable. In this respect, in whichever religion we believe, we must prevent the evil from touching the places of worship of the other religions.”

“Whoever the initiator is, the oppression, injustice and alienation must be confronted”

Expressing that the revelation by Allah (swt) never legitimized and supported the conflict, alienation, invasion and injustice and all prophet challenged for the intangibleness of life, faith, goods, mindset and generations of people, the President Erbaş talked as “Today, the greatest responsibility for all members of religion and mindset and community leaders is to protect the basic rights of all people in the world regardless of nationality, faith, color, geography and status, to be side by side with law and justice, and to confront the oppression, injustice and alienation whoever the initiator is.”

“Every issue we ignore, every problem we delay will eventually come to our door”

Comparing the world with a big house where all people live together, the President Erbaş continued as follows:

“It is against the nature of the material that there cannot be a house whose half is filled with poverty, misery and every kind of struggle while the other half is filled with comfort, and this cannot continue forever. It is not possible for the other rooms not to be effected by this while a room of it is invaded by terror and anarchy. Those who live in one of the floors of the house cannot ignore the fire on another floor of the same house. Those who betrayed their nation and humanitarian values in one room of the house cannot hide in another room of the same house to run away from law and accounting. In this regard, as the family of humanity, we must be respectful and sensitive to each other.  As a matter of fact, every issue we ignore, every problem we delay will eventually come to our door. While we do this, we need to move according to the social, economic and environmental problems, not over the principles of faith of the religions. Principles of faith of the religions and religious worlds of people are personal. “Dialog” must not be at that point, but at this point; as individuals with a sense of responsibility, every one of us can talk about the issues of the world we live in that affect us all, indeed, we have to do so.”

“How will all these sorrows from East Turkistan to Jerusalem, from Yemen to Myanmar end?”

Drawing the attention to the fact that if we can share even one percent of the present income of the world in a lawful way and equally, poverty will vanish from the earth, the President Erbaş talked as follows:

“Then, the problem is where? And what can be done for all people to have an equal share out of the richness of the world?  Who are managing the sectors which intoxicate the air, water and earth and damage the future of the humanity at most? How will we avoid environmental pollution? How will all these sorrows from East Turkistan to Jerusalem, from Yemen to Myanmar end? How can we challenge together against those who violate the laws and human rights, pollute the earth, and support the exploitation, anarchy and terror? We must discuss these matters.”

The meetings hosted by the President of Russian Federation Muslims Religious Administration and the Council of Muftis Ravil Gaynuddin were attended by several religious officials and researchers from several countries.
