The “2nd Consultation Meeting on al-Quds” which is organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs has started in Ankara with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs.
Academics, experts and journalists were invited to the second meeting, the first of which was held with representatives of foundations and associations operating for Palestine in Turkey.
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting which was attended by the officials of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs, thanked to the attendees who attended in the meeting and said “You have made us very happy with your participation in this consultation meeting. First of all, thank you. We have organized this meeting so that we can discuss our cause on al-Quds especially with our academicians and intellectuals, face to face. We shall address to the importance of the issue of al-Quds and what we can do regarding al-Quds more permanently and qualified.”
Referring to the importance of Muslims making negotiations regarding al-Quds, the President Erbaş noted “We must talk about the Land of Peace at any moment. We need to explain the reasons ant processes of they have managed to turn the Land of Peace into the Land of War. We need to discuss how they have managed this city, which was founded by the Prophet Dawud (as) and was developed and simply crowned by the Prophet Solomon (as), to end up like this.”
“They are trying to turn the world into the Land of War”
Describing the processes related to the history of Jerusalem, President Erbaş said, “Evangelists, the Judaized part of the Christians, united with the Zionist Jews with the idea of realizing the Kingdom of God on earth as soon as possible. The evangelist Christians who have joined hands with the Zionist Jews have been trying to turn the world into the Land of War. We, the Muslims, must be aware of this fact. We must give messages that shall warn the world in these negotiations and consultations of ours, Insha Allah. Today, we must reveal their terrorist actions that they commit in the world with the purpose of forcing the god to the judgement day, otherwise, these sorrows shall never end.”
“We have consulted the ways to defend the cause of al-Quds stronger at the international level”
Describing the works of the Presidency of Religious Affairs conducted with respect to this matter in the recent years, the President Erbaş continued his words as follows:
“With this objective, we organized the “International Summit on al-Quds” in Istanbul in the year 2018. It gave beneficial results. With the decision that we made there, we planned visit al-Quds more frequently. We have consulted the ways to defend the cause of al-Quds in the scientific, academic and international arena in a stronger way. In this context, we decided on performing more cooperation with the Muslim countries and societies and we have executed joint works in this process.
We changed the name of our Department of Umrah Services, which operates under the body of our General Directorate of Hajj and Umrah Services as the Department of Umrah and Visits to al-Quds, and structured its duties and activities in this direction.
Our Turkiye Diyanet Foundation continues to do anything within its capability with all its facilities from humanitarian and social aids to education. On the very first day after the attacks of the terrorist state Israel's on the Lailat al-Qadr, the volunteers and members of Turkiye Diyanet Foundation stood by the Muslims in Gaza. They stood by our brothers and sisters in matters such as necessary aids, medicines, and ambulance and hospital services.
On the occasion of the latest attacks of the invaders, we held an extraordinary meeting, again before the Eid, together with the religious leaders of the Muslim countries and societies. In particular, we talked about the ways to encourage the leaders of the Muslim countries to make joint decisions. On May 20, two weeks ago, we held a meeting in this hall with the Non-Governmental Organizations founded in our country with the purpose of serving to al-Quds and Palestine, and the governmental institutions such as the Presidency of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Turkish Red Crescent. We held that meeting with the thought of establishing needs-oriented working commissions. Again, upon the latest attacks of the invaders, we prepared and sent a letter to the leaders of various religions in the world, and especially, to 125 Christian and Jewish religious officials. Of course, it is never sufficient until al-Quds is liberated. We, the Muslims, believe this. I would like to state that I am honored to listen to you here today.”
In the program that shall continue for the day in Rıfat Börekçi Education Center, the stance of the world and the Muslim countries regarding al-Quds and Masjid al-Aqsa shall be evaluated within the framework of the current developments, and the steps to be taken for the elimination of violations of rights and human-rights related problems observed in al-Quds and Masjid al-Aqsa shall be discussed.
