Inter-Ministry Board of Hajj and Umrah met under the presidency of President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş.

At the meeting that the evaluations have been made on the issues of hajj and umrah in 2022, it has been decided that hajj pilgrimage will start from 7 June 2022 and umrah tours for the month of Shawwal will start from 2 May 2022.

In the meeting that it has been decided that no new lots will be drawn for 2022 and that the procedures will be carried out according to 2020 hajj lot result in determining hajj pilgrims, the followings have been decided as a result of evaluations:

Regarding umrah organization;

It has been decided;

-That the tours can be organized in accommodation types such as hotel, Room Option 1 and Room Option 2 in umrah organization,

-the issues on training, guidance, accommodation and other service items to be provided to the umrah pilgrims inside and outside Türkiye.

Regarding 2022 hajj;

It has been decided;

-determining the prospective pilgrims in 2022 within the framework of points declared by the Authorities of Saudi Arabia,

For the hajj pilgrims whose registration rights transferred from 2022;

-To obtain their preferences for whether they will go on hajj or not between the dates of 25 April and 4 May,

-To grant final registration rights to the hajj pilgrim who are under the age of 65 and not granting them the right of delay for 2023

-To the registration rights of the hajj pilgrims who is over the age of 65 within the framework of the decision made in 2021

-For pilgirms who are under the age of 65 in case that hajj pilgrims who are under and over the age of 65 are together in their registrations connections

-To go on hajj by being separated from its connection upon his/her request

-to adjourn the rights of those who want to adjourn their rights to 2023 within the framework of the decision made in 2021,

- the issues on training, guidance, accommodation and other service items to be provided to the hajj pilgrims inside and outside Turkiye.
