A strong reaction to Indian party member who insulted our Beloved Prophet (saw) from President of Religious Affairs Erbaş

President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş strongly reacted to insults towards our Beloved Prophet (saw) by an official who is a member of ruling part in India.

Stating that this incident is a result of discriminatory and prohibitive policies implemented to Muslims in India and all around the world, President Erbaş used the following expressions, “I invite authorities of India to review their policy in the face of increasing hostility towards Islam in their country and to maintain a stance to ensure the religious freedoms of Muslims.”

President Erbaş used the following expressions in the statement that he made on his social media accounts:

 “I strongly condemn the insulting statements towards our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), who were sent to the realms as mercy, by an official who is a member of ruling party in India.

This impertinent attitude towards Muslims in India and all around the world is a result of discriminatory and prohibitive policies implemented to Muslims of India from attacks on worship places to prohibition of head scarf.

I invite the authorities of India to review their policy in the face of increasing hostility towards Islam in their country and to maintain a stance to ensure the religious freedoms of Muslims.”
