King of Malaysia Abdullah Shah visits the Presidency of Religious Affairs 

King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and his wife Malaysian Queen Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah came to Ankara as the invitees of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and visited the Library of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.

Al-Sultan Abdullah Shah and his wife Queen Tunku Azizah firstly visited the division containing the manuscripts and rare works collection of the Library located at the Campus of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. 

Here, Al-Sultan Abdullah Shah and his wife Queen Tunku Azizah were informed by the Department of Periodicals and Libraries Dr. Lami Levent Abul concerning the 16 thousand manuscripts and 5 thousand lithographic works which were conserved in a highly secured special division inside protected cabinets with sensitive air-conditioning devices.  

The King and Queen who then visited the division where the restoration of manuscripts are performed watched the video describing the processes done during the restoration of a manuscript work attentively. 

Afterwards, the King and Queen have visited the floors containing 130,000 printed works, 5 thousand periodicals and digital records in the library collections, and carefully examined the books in the sections containing the works describing the life of our Beloved Prophet (SAW), including those which were written in different languages.

The King and Queen were presented with the works of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, such as a special edition of the Holy Qur'an, 7 volumes of Islam with Hadiths book which was edited and translated into English, and the Fatwas Book which was translated into Arabic.

During their visit, Sultan Abdullah Shah and his wife Queen Tunku Azizah were accompanied by the President of High Board of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Hakkalı and Vice Presidents of Religious Affairs Dr. Burhan Işliyen, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hilmi Karslı, Kadir Dinç and General Director of Religious Publications Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kurt.
