President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş said, “The world is more than ever in need of the enlightening principles of Islam, morality of tolerance and brotherhood.”
Among the Member States of Organization of Turkic States “Protocol of Cooperation in the Field of Religious Affairs between the Presidents of Religious Affairs/Religious Administrations of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States” was signed for the purpose of cooperation in the field of religious affairs.
President of Religious Affairs Erbaş, started his speech at the protocol ceremony held in Shusha, Azerbaijan by celebrating the 31st anniversary of the independence of brother country Azerbaijan and the upcoming 2nd anniversary of Victory of Karabakh.
President Erbaş said that they held meetings in order to develop cooperation among institutions in charge of religious affairs within the body of Organization of Turkic States and third of these meetings was organized in the Azerbaijan and continued his speech, “Our most important purpose is to serve the Islam, to make a great effort to learn Islam better and convey it to all of the world. Achieving this purpose will only be possible by working in unity and solidarity and walking in the path showed to us by Allah (swt).
President Erbaş stated that they are aware of their responsibilities as representatives and members of Islam and they will conduct all their activities with this sense of responsibility.
“We will convey peace-giving and enlightening messages of Islam to humanity”
President Erbaş said “We will make efforts to convey the peace-giving and enlightening messages of Islamic civilization which is adorned with divine values such as faith, tolerance, coexistence, peace and tranquility as a successor of this legacy” and continued as follows:
“Today the world is more than ever in need of the enlightening principles of Islam, morality of tolerance and brotherhood. In order to reach this goal we should provide religious services with knowledge and wisdom that are the essence of Islam and make efforts to provide qualified education to children and youth. These efforts should be established on brotherhood which is the most precious treasure of our faith.”
President Erbaş wished at the end of his speech that this meeting would be auspicious and said, “May Allah the Exalted (swt) make it continue to increase our friendly, sincere and fraternal relations between our countries and institutions from past to present.”
The President of Azerbaijan Caucasus Muslims Administration Allahşükür Paşazade, Organization of Turkic States Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, President of Religious Administration of Kazakhstan Muslims Grand Mufti Nauryzbay Taganuly, Uzbekistan Muslim Administration Chief and Grand Mufti Nuriddin Haliknazarov and Turkmenistan Grand Mufti Yalkap Hojaguliyev attended to the protocol ceremony.
