Between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and Presidency of Kosovo Islamic Union “Protocol of Cooperation in the Field of Religious Affairs between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and Presidency of Kosovo Islamic Union” was signed for the purpose of cooperation in the field of religious affairs
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, before the protocol signature ceremony received the President of Kosovo Islamic Union Naim Terneva and the accompanying delegation in his office.
President of Religious Affairs Erbaş expressed his pleasure with their visit and wished Terneva success in his works.
Naim Terneva, President of Kosovo Islamic Union also thanked President Erbaş upon his reception.
After the meeting, the protocol signature ceremony started. President Erbaş and Terneva signed Protocol of Cooperation which contains lots of subjects such as religious services, religious education, foundation services, assistance activities, religious field researches between the two countries.
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş stated that their relations between the Kosovo Islamic Union dates back to old times and said, “Inshallah, pursuant to signed protocol regarding the activities carried out by Kosovo consultancy of religious services, religious services, Qur’an courses, sermon and irshad, services in the mosques with the Presidency of Kosovo Islamic Union and all of these works will continue enduringly from now on.
“Our works will be accelerated even more with this protocol”
President Erbaş expressed that Kosovo’s importance to Turkiye, and said, “Kosovo is truly very important as a country that has Muslim population of 95%. We need to do works directed to youth, children and families. Inshallah after this protocol, our works will be even more accelerated.”
Terneva: “This protocol will be a driving force on the subject of doing better works”
President of Kosovo Islamic Union Naim Terneva also thanked for the interest Turkiye showed to Kosova’s population and said, “This protocol will be a driving force on the subject of doing better work and will keep us alive due to works made between two institutions. Also it will not give an opportunity to those people who want to exploit our religion, Islam.
Our cooperation will strengthen with this protocol…
This protocol aims to develop the current services by getting strength from common religious, historical, cultural heritage. There are articles of the protocol such as any problem may be encountered in the religious services, religious education, foundation services, assistance activities, religious field researches, religious publications and among the religious organizations in the region, proposing a solution will be in accordance with the laws of the both countries and developing assistance and solidarity in these works with this cooperation by prioritize both countries’ benefit.
In the protocol, experience will be shared in cooperation with the the subjects of preparing and distributing printed, audio, visual and digital broadcasts in the required languages and in field of TV and radio organizations such as program development, material sharing, joint broadcasting, supporting personnel and technical support.
There will be cooperation in the subjects of common works in all areas of formal and non-formal education especially Holy Qur’an and Islamic sciences directed to all segments of the community and required establishment of educational institutions, administration and development in this sense and experience sharing.
It was decided that cooperation will be made within the bounds of possibility, to encourage scientists and field experts to work on cultural and historical heritage so as to hold a consultation and teach courses in universities and other institutions in both countries.
Vice President of Religious Affairs Dr. Burhan İşliyen and the Republic of Turkiye Pristina Religious Services Counselor Bünyamin Albayrak also attended to the signature ceremony.
