‘Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding on Fatwa Subjects’ was signed with Russia

‘Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding on Fatwa Subjects’ was signed between Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation.

At the ceremony organized in Russia, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş and President of Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Council of Muftis Ravil Gaynuddin, were present.

President Erbaş who delivered a speech at the ceremony, expressed that the cooperation between Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and Russian Council of Muftis continue with increasing momentum and said, “This cooperation has taken a multi-directional turn especially in the last period. We also conduct social and cultural projects along with religious services and religious publishing. For example, today we realized the introduction of the Russian translation of the work named ‘Islam with Hadits’. Last week for the first time a women's delegation from our presidency visited the Russian federation to share their experiences.”

“We hope that Muslims will benefit from this Memorandum of Understanding”

President Erbaş stated that one of the most important duties of religious institutions is conveying the exact information with society and said, “As long as we can achieve our duty, it will be difficult for harmful movements to find a response in society. Today, we aim to increase experience sharing by signing Memorandum of Understanding on Fatwa Subjects. We hope that Muslims in the region will benefit from the works we will conduct here.”

President Erbaş wished this memorandum of understanding be auspicious.

Gaynuddin: “We always pray for President Erdoğan and Turkish nation”

President of Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Council of Muftis Gaynuddin thanked President Erbaş on behalf of the Russian Muslims for the services of Presidency of Religious Affairs in Russia.

Gaynuddin talked about the importance of the work named “Islam with Hadits” being published in Russian and said, “Inshallah, our efforts to translate the Encyclopedia of Islam into Russian will be successful as the work ‘Islam with Hadits’”.

Gaynuddin expressed his heartfelt thanks for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's greetings and good wishes to the Muslims of Russia and said, “As Muslims in Russia, we always pray to our Allah (swt) for President Erdoğan and the Turkish nation.  

Our brotherhood, friendship and the good relationship between the Presidents of the two states are very important. May Allah (swt) make our states stronger and more peaceful and make us conduct useful services for our nations in the future.”
