President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş came together with Head of Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan Nauryzbay Taganuly Otpenov and the accompanying delegation.

Expressing his thanks to Chairman Otpenov and the accompanying delegation for the visit, President Erbaş noted that friendly relations between the two countries will continue as they have so far.

Making evaluations about the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, President Erbaş said, "We experienced two earthquakes of a magnitude unprecedented in the history of the world. You also had your condolences for this earthquake. Thank you very much for that. With unity, togetherness, and solidarity, we will try to overcome these painful days, inshallah. May the Almighty Allah (swt) help us."

Remarking that a great mobilization has been launched in Türkiye, President Erbaş used the following expressions, "Rescue teams and aid from all cities of our country are going to the earthquake region. As the Presidency of Religious Affairs, we are in the earthquake region from the first moment. We have a coordination center that we have established here. We are trying to heal our wounds in unity, solidarity, and mobilization from the first moment."

"We will overcome it all together"

Pointing out that the earthquake affected 13,5 million people, President Erbaş made the following evaluation, "Sheltering these people, removing the rubble, setting up tents and container cities, and then building new buildings in place of the rubble that was removed is really a big job, but our state, our nation, is great, alhamdulillah. Your support and prayers are very important to us. Inshallah, we will overcome it all together."

Otpenov: "Our nation tried to help materially and spiritually"

Stating that earthquakes are the test of Allah (swt), Head of Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan Nauryzbay Taganuly Otpenov wish immediate healing to injured citizens and Allah’s (swt) mercy to those who lost their lives.

Using the expression, "We are a brotherly nation. Whether in times of disaster like this or in good times, we are wholeheartedly committed to each other," Head Otpenov talked as follows: "When the Kazakh state declared its independence, the brotherly Turkish nation first celebrated our independence. We never forget that. This is our debt of loyalty to you. Because of the earthquake in Türkiye our nation has shown that they are together with Türkiye. From that day on, they tried to help materially and spiritually."

Uttering that they, as Administration, started an aid campaign throughout the country after the earthquake, Head Otpenov said, "We sent the aid we collected to AFAD's accounts. We wish that the unity and solidarity between the Religious Affairs Administrations of the two countries will continue until the end of time. We are brothers and sisters, and we are together. Inshallah, we will have better days, and may the Almighty Allah (swt) show us those days as well."

At the visit, Vice President of Religious Affairs Kadir Dinç and General Director of Foreign Relations Mahmut Özdemir were also present.
