"Eid Al-Adha Greetings Meeting of Hajj Organization Heads of Islamic Countries" was held in Mecca upon the invitation of President of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş. Thanking the guests for their participation, President Erbaş, who made the opening speech of the program, used the following expressions, "May the Almighty Allah (swt) accept and bless our hajj."

Stating that hajj is a great worship in every aspect, President Erbaş talked as "Each of its manasik teaches us the fundamental principles and values of Islam, reminds us of the wisdom of our existence and purpose of our creation and shows us the good morals."

"We Are Like Members of a Family with Our Brothers and Sisters from All Over the World on Hajj"

Pointing out that there are two indispensable principles of life for Muslims, President Erbaş said, "First is the oneness that brings us together in faith in Allah (swt), second is the unity that brings us together in the consciousness of brotherhood. Hajj is a worship in which we experience oneness and unity together and in the most powerful way. It is the declaration of faith of oneness and ummah consciousness to the earth. It is a meeting of universal brotherhood in line with the same belief, the same feeling, and the same goal. Here we are like members of a family with our brothers and sisters from all over the world."

Reminding the verse of Quran, "The Believers Are but One Brotherhood," President Erbaş pointed out that there is no importance of kinship, language, color, status, and there is no discrimination of sect, disposition, east-west, and north-south in this brotherhood.

"Hajj Is a Great Opportunity and Worship That Reminds Us of Morality and Keeps It Alive"

Stating that Muslims are sensitive to each other like the members of a body, President Erbaş talked as "They are connected to each other like the bricks of a building, side by side like the teeth of a comb. Hajj is a great opportunity and worship that reminds us of this consciousness and morality and keeps it alive. Our responsibility is to take the brotherhood and prosperity we experience here with everywhere we go, and after we return from here, to stand shoulder to shoulder, side by side."

"Muslims Must Make the Communication and the Consciousness of Unity Among Them Strongest"

Pointing out that the world is surrounded by global problems, President Erbaş continued his words as follows: "Humanity is in need of the justice, law, mercy, and compassion principles of Islam. It is the Muslim's responsibility of faith and servitude to bring humanity together with the values that it is in need. However, we all see the existence of very serious threat elements in the Muslim geography that overshadow this responsibility. A terrible sedition, terror, and anarchy, especially produced by abusing religious values, stands before us as a vital problem. For this reason, Muslims must make the communication and the consciousness of unity among them strongest."

"We Must Develop Joint Projects for Islam to Be Learned in the Most Beautiful and in the Most Correct Way"

Expressing that religious organizations of Muslim societies must come together more, President Erbaş made the following evaluation, "We must improve and strengthen our joint work. In particular, we should do strong work in the field of religious education and training. We must develop joint projects for Islam to be learned in the most beautiful and in the most correct way. We must work together in areas such as religious service, family, and youth service. We must take joint measures against the rising Hostility against Islam-Islamophobia."

Congratulating the Eid Al-Adha of the representatives at the end of his speech, President Erbaş said, "May the Almighty Allah (swt) let our pilgrims here return to their countries safe and sound."

The meeting was attended by representatives from nearly 30 countries, including Palestine, Pakistan, Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, Ivory Coast, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Syria, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Iran, Thailand, and Kazakhstan.
