President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş said,” It has great importance to resolutely and continuously boycott the products of companies that support Zionism, and to fight oppression and oppressor in all aspects.”
The "Palestine Consultation Meeting" organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs is held with the participation of fifty-four non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating throughout Türkiye.
Giving the opening speech of the meeting in the conference hall of the Diyanet Academy, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş expressed his thanks to the participants and said, "Today, we have come together to consult on what we can do against a heinous atrocity in Gaza, in the Palestinian territories."
“Al-Quds is a matter of faith and dignity for believers and a matter of morality and conscience for humanity”
Underlining that Gaza and Al-Quds are not only a matter of Palestinians, President Erbaş talked as "It is a matter of faith and dignity for believers and a matter of morality and conscience for humanity. What is happening in Gaza today shows us how a cruel terrorist state that thinks it is the master of the world has turned into a calamity for humanity."
President Erbaş said that the Jews who oppose the oppression and have a conscience are not the addressees of the reactions, but the perverted Zionists who do the greatest destruction and evil against revelation and the sacred values and show the most brutal examples of cruelty and extortion.
“Palestine will not be liberated from occupation unless the Islamic Ummah takes a common attitude”
Pointing out that Al-Quds invites Muslims to unity and work together in all fields, President Erbaş continued his words as follows:
“We must accelerate the work that will unite all believing hearts in the entire Islamic world. We must make the consciousness of Al-Quds the strongest. We must know that no work is enough until Al-Quds is free. Incidents took place over the years have shown us once again that Palestine will not be freed from occupation unless the Islamic Ummah takes concrete and decisive steps and takes a common stance. At this point, the only solution is for the ummah to come together and prevent oppression and occupation.
As an Islamic geography, there is no problem that we cannot overcome when we unite our forces, become aware of this power, and trust ourselves. Today, some people have become rich because they exploit oppressed and Muslim geographies. They are strengthening their prosperity because they sow the seeds of strife and corruption among the people of these geographies and cause proxy wars.”
“We will continue to be a hope for the oppressed”
President Erbaş said, "As in the past, we will continue to stand by the truth, the right and the oppressed, and to stand against the oppressor. We will continue to be hope for the oppressed."
Pointing out that various non-governmental organizations from all over the Islamic geography are making great efforts to stand against oppression and heal the wounds of the oppressed on the issue of Palestine, President Erbaş talked as "In this context, many non-governmental organizations from outside the Islamic world, people of conscience, Jews, Christians and members of different religions, academics, activists, artists and politicians react to the occupying terrorist state, the horde of murderers, and stand against barbarism and terror. It is hopeful and pleasing that they stand with the oppressed Palestinians."
“The unity of Muslims will bring an end to all kinds of oppression and injustice”
Pointing out that it is essential for all individuals and institutions, especially non-governmental organizations, to act in cooperation to bring peace to Palestine, President Erbaş used the following expressions, "It is obvious that the occupation of Palestine has been going on gradually for more than 70 years. This is also the result of Muslims' inability to conduct planned policies and to be united. In this context, as Muslims, we must learn from our mistakes and take a more decisive stance. It should not be forgotten that the brutality of Muslims will bring an end to all kinds of oppression and injustice, especially the atrocities in Gaza."
“The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation should take stronger initiatives”
Defending that today the oppressors and occupiers should be fought in a stronger and more planned manner, President Erbaş talked as "In this context, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation should take stronger initiatives. The most important action in preventing the oppression of the occupiers is that Muslim countries and societies together bring up a sanction that will stop the oppressors and their supporters in the diplomatic, economic, and political fields. This process should be managed by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation."
“We must create a strong awareness of Al-Quds among all the young people of the Islamic geography”
President Erbaş said, "It has great importance to boycott the products of companies that support Zionism in a determined and continuous manner, and to fight against oppression and oppressor in all aspects. We have to endeavour to create a strong awareness of Al-Quds in our generations and in all the young people of the Islamic geography."
“You will drown in the blood and tears of the innocent”
Stating that they are working to strengthen the reactions against Israel in every field, President Erbaş continued his words as follows:
“We inform the world public opinion and repeat our calls. From here, I once again call out to the oppressors, child killers and occupiers. You will drown in the blood and tears of the innocent. You will be a prisoner of the hatred and hatred in your hearts. Even if you see it as far away with the courage you get from the power centres you hide behind today, one day you will definitely be held accountable before the law. Tyrants are cowards, and you are the most cowardly creatures in the world. Your use of weapons against innocent children is a declaration of your cowardice to the world.
From here, I appeal to humanity who close their eyes and consciences to the facts and condemn themselves to darkness in order not to see what is happening. One of the greatest blessings bestowed by the Almighty Allah (swt) on human is conscience. Human is a human with his conscience. Conscience has no race, colour, or geography. I urge you to look up your conscience and listen to its voice."
Erdogan: "We should make an effort to make the boycott movement more widespread”
Bilal Erdogan, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Ilım Yayma Cemiyeti, stated that non-governmental organization in Türkiye should also establish relations with non-governmental organizations outside the Islamic world and said, "When this oppression ends, we should not return to our same state. I think it is very important to strengthen relations at the level of mutual gain with non-governmental organizations that do not have international relations or have weak international relations, especially with Muslim groups and reasonable non-Muslim communities outside the Islamic world."
Pointing out that Türkiye is an important market with a population of more than eighty-five million, President Erbaş talked as "It is a market with enough domestic brands. In other words, we are not really obliged or dependent on brands that support Israel in Türkiye. Therefore, we should especially strive for the boycott movement to be carried out more widely."
Görmez: "We need to do something as a country, as a nation, as a state”
President of the Institute of Islamic Thought Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez expressed that children and women in Gaza are giving lesson to people all over the world.
Stating that Muslims have their hearts, eyes and souls fixed on Palestine, Görmez used the following expressions, "We need to do something as a country, nation and state. Please, let us leave here with an emergency action plan."
