President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş said, “The liberation of Gaza, the freedom of Al-Quds and the prosperity of East Turkestan depend on the unity, solidarity and cooperation of Muslims.”
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş attended the "Muslim Scholars Iftar Program" organized by the Centre for Islamic Studies (ISAM) in Istanbul.
In his speech, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Erbaş remarked; “We have entered the month of Ramadan with deep wounds in our hearts caused by the massacres in Palestine. Gaza, unfortunately, has been witnessing an unprecedented violence in front of the eyes of the whole world. Law, morality, conscience, all human values have been left under the rubble in Gaza. The vicious Zionist murderers have been committing the crime of genocide in Gaza for months."
"The world is in need of a construction of a new law and morality"
President Erbaş stated that Zionism is fed by a distorted belief, a perverted ideology and a dirty politics and has become the biggest threat to humanity today and added: "A new international initiative to eliminate this threat is sorely needed. The world is in need of a construction of a new law and morality. Because what is happening in Gaza today has clearly revealed the dysfunctionality of international structures in their current form."
"I wish that the month of Ramadan will be conducive to a new awakening and resurrection"
Stating that the responsibility to put an end to the oppression and tragedies in Islamic geographies is primarily on the shoulders of Muslims, President Erbaş used the following expressions: "The liberation of Gaza, the freedom of Al-Quds, and the prosperity of East Turkestan also depend on the unity, solidarity and cooperation of Muslims. I wish that the month of Ramadan will be conducive to a new awakening and resurrection in this sense."
"It is essential for our scholars to guide the ummah"
President Erbaş stated that the main problem of Muslims today is their division and continued his words as follows:
"Unfortunately, the biggest problems of the Muslims are racial, sectarian, and religious conflicts, exploitative terrorist organizations, and proxy wars. Failure to take a joint initiative on the most fundamental issues is dragging the Islamic geography into a dire helplessness. Muslims will not be able to solve their problems and lead humanity unless they come together, combine their power, and means, and adopt policies based on self-confidence, reason, and wisdom. The world will change when Muslim unity is realized.
Therefore, the first thing to do is to unite with each other as Muslims. To believe and trust each other. To strengthen cooperation in all areas such as education, family, youth, environment, food, economy, technology. It is to act jointly against oppressors and imperialists. To cooperate with religious organizations, non-governmental organizations, jurisprudence committees and similar organizations. We should not forget that the guidance of our scholars to the ummah is of great importance."
