Message of Lailat al-Mi’raj from President of Religious Affairs Erbaş

In his message issued on the occasion of Lailat al-Mi’raj, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr Ali Erbaş stated, “Mi’raj means adopting al-Masjid al-Aqsa as a trust of prophets and as a necessity of servitude and humanity test."

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

If Allah (swt) permits, we are going to comprehend the Night of Miraj, which consists of several divine wisdoms, secrets, and abundance, on Tuesday night followed by Wednesday altogether.

Miraj expresses the night journey full of wisdom in which Our Prophet travelled from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa and then to the sky and saw the signs of infinite power of Allah (swt) in the tough times of messengership in Mecca.

Miraj is a horizon of truth and rise opened before the ones who persevere with tawhid, servitude, patience, and social ethics in the person of Our Prophet. It is a magnificent testimony to the oneness, greatness, and power of Allah (swt) and an extraordinary journey went on for the essence and meaning of existence.

Miraj heralds Allah’s (swt) help to the ones working for formation of a world where a life in peace and safety takes place and there is no blood, tears, occupation, poverty, and misery.

Miraj means reaching to the infinite mercy and compassion of the Lord of the Worlds by contemplating the meaning and wisdom of the ascension by means of 5 times prayer in a day. It it the biggest opportunity for resurrection of the hearts whose compassion decrease and of the humanity whose conscious of being the most honourable creature weakens.

Miraj, of course, means adopting al-Masjid al-Aqsa as a trust of prophets and as a necessity of servitude and humanity test. Today, Miraj cannot be practised truly unless al-Masjid al-Aqsa becomes free from the occupant bullies who infringe its holy area and from the wild-eyed oppressors who violate its immunity. Therefore, it is the biggest responsibility laid on Muslims by the Almighty Allah to work in unity for security of al-Masjid al-Aqsa and to eliminate occupation and oppression.

These nights when the hearts of believers emotionalise with spiritual emotions and feelings are great opportunities in order to refresh and strengthen our faith in the Almighty Allah, commitment to our Prophet, and love of prayer by means of pray, worship, and contemplation.

May Allah (swt) let the Night of Miraj, which symbolizes the rise to the highest levels in servitude and humanistic values, conduce to the unity and solidarity of Muslims and the humanity’s peace and finding the true path. I congratulate the Night of Miraj of our dear nation and the entire Muslim world.
